Fortunately the electrical on the older cars were a lot less complicated than on today's models.

I do still believe that without a decent wiring diagram of the correct model of vehicle, one is in for a lot more work than otherwise necessary. And it looks like I am headed for the second option.  Finding resources on the internet, for instances, all comes with too many digits after the $ sign.  And then we have a great Mercedes USA Website, that simply refuses to sell me their products, since they are ONLY allowed to sell to people in the states.  Pathetic.  The last word also describes the excuse of a website that Mercedes South Africa attempts to maintain.
